The New Censorship in the Democratic Countries

During monarchy and dictatorship, censorship was done by beating, prison, death penalty, exile, others.

Today censorship still exists, but disguised.

Today is made by creating false rumors in the media and social networks (tv, newspaper, magazines, social networks, etc) that triggers a sequence of events-reactions that will make that person to lose his/her credibility in the public eye.

- False rumors starts to circulate
- Bad reputation
- Social judgment
- Loses job
- Isolation

They are people that have power to influence people's opinion. This a modern way to make that person disappear.

We should not believe everything we read. Sometimes we are just watching the "killing " of another public figure,  without even realising

A figure that became inconvinient to someone, to a company, to a brand, tv chanel, to a political party, others,  and needs to be silenced.  The public figure can speak but now nobody will want to hear it or hardly will believe it.

Catharsis

What is catharsis?

Catharsis is releasing emotions through music and dance

Catharsis is relaxing in a night out

Catharsis is crying for others misfortune, when in reality, we are crying of our own

Catharsis is the transformation during alcohol consumption

Catharsis is dreaming awake or asleep

Catharsis is giving voice to our inside world by using writing

Catharsis is the struggle of showing what we should be and what we are

Catharsis is finding some freedom

Catharsis is the unconscious form we found of running from, exterior or interior, censure, pressure, repression, passions, fears, memories, traumas..

Catharsis is letting the steam out..

People that let us be ourselves

Being ourselves is not easy in a society with so many expectations, social rules and morals.. A society that is always defining us.

Within the societies, in some social circles (school, job, family, etc) are people that have dominant-aggressive personalities and try to make us submissive to their wills and opinions.

Those people don't, really, want to know us. They just want us to be followers, to be a always say "yes" - person, to praise their ego..

Some people don't even try to be themselves anymore. They became their own masks.

Finding people that just let us be.. acknowledging that we are all complex and different creatures.. accepting the beauty  of creativity,  self-expression.. is not easy, but is a joy!

Not judging someone from what they think is the best job, the best look, the best decision, the best opinion..
What is the best for some is not the best for everybody.
How so many people cannot understand something so simple?

We all have different desires, whishes, dreams... we all see and feel the same reality in different ways... we experience everything in our unique way.

Nobody can define us, because, people, simply, don't know who we are. They don't let us be ourselves. Who we are is never going to be good enough for their expectations. Cause we are not their expectations. We are ourselves. And we will always be ourselves. But, unfortunately, a stranger for the majority of the people in our social circles.

Normally, they don't even know who they are. They are too busy trying to fit in their social circles and match to society's expectations. This is what they do during their whole life. It must be exhausting...

We can be a functioning piece of the machine and still be ourselves.

The domestication of the adults of tomorrow

The adolescence is the conscious adaptation to the society's adult life, to its obligations, rules...hence, the resistance.. the destruction of the dreams

When we are children, we are allowed to dream, fantasize..and then you arrive to the adolescence and society wants to take from you  all at once.

Facing the "constructed" reality is not always easy...ceasing to be wild and free and start to belong to the moral values, cultural, civic and judicial values.

So many requirements..

It's the transition..hence, so much pain, rebelion...

...but in the end, we all have to surrender.. the easy way or the hard way...

There's no other dignified form of living  inside the society..

Everybody is converted to the world of work and the survival for the consumerism..

There's no time for rebels thoughts. Our purpose, in the society, is to contribute for its good functioning. We work to keep the economical machine working.

Marriage, weeding, hygiene, maternity, education, health, divorce, funeral, others.

Are all processes that keeps the machine working culturally and economically.

The escape is art... writing, photography, digital design, playing instruments, paiting,  dancing, drawing, performance arts,, sculpture, singing, and all forms of art. Everything that allows us to express ourselves. To bring out something of our inner world.

Art allows us to be free. To be in touch with our own world where we can be wild again...

...without hurting others.
